We have a range of adult and children’s bikes all available for hire.

Cycle down the Trans Pennine Trail or along the country lanes of Holderness, why not stop for a spot of lunch at The Trails End Café or one of the local pubs along the way.

The Trans Pennine Trail is traffic-free from Hornsea until Hull apart from a couple of road crossings.

Parking:

Parking is provided free of charge at Hornsea Freeport.

What you will need to hire a bike:

þ    A Credit or Debit card to pay for your hire this is required for security purposes

þ    Photo ID (Driving licence or passport) this is required for security purposes

þ Be 16 or over. (under 16 must be accompanied by an adult)

þ Wear appropriate clothing and shoes

 

The Trans Pennine Trail:

The Trans Pennine Trail is a coast-to-coast route from Southport to Hornsea and is approximately 207 miles long. With the addition of the north / south route from Leeds to Chesterfield and a link up to York, making the whole route over 350 miles.

 

Local attractions:

¢ 2.5 miles (4.0km) Honeysuckle Farm and cafe where you can explore the farm and see a veriety of farm animals from Horses to Rabbits, admission charges apply.

¢ 3.7 miles (6.0km) Wrygarth Inn and Tearoom a perfect stop for a coffee, home made cakes and great food.

¢ 6.0 miles (9.7km) The Railway Inn pride themselves with homemade pies with a recipe that has remained the same for over 3 generations.

¢ 8.9 miles(14.3km) Burton Constable Hall and Stables Kitchen where you can enjoy delicious homemade food in a warm and cosy environment.

Entry to the Stables Kitchen is free and is open daily, normal admission charges apply to visit the Hall, Grounds and Stables.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

A cycle helmet is inclusive with any hire. We strongly recommend that everyone wears a helmet whilst cycling; you will be offered a helmet for use when hiring our bikes. We can also provide a spare inner tube, puncture repair kit and tyre levers and pump.

We are unable to offer any “call-out” or roadside support for mechanical breakdowns/crashes. It is expected that you are able to ride a bicycle competently and safely. You must be able to repair a puncture, re-ship a dropped chain.

We are unable to hire a buggy, trailer or child seat.
